Financing didn't work out in our favor. Oh well. (To answer some concerns in the previous comments: the car would have had a warranty of one to five years, and the ship goes back and forth from the islands anyway, so I doubt adding another piece of freight would have significantly altered the carbon footprint.)
Turns out we're just not ready for a drive up to Chicago this weekend... Bill's still wiped from his trip to Spokane, the weather's gonna stink, and I think part of my back problems are that I just don't fit into the car we have, and sitting in it for that long of a drive would be asking for trouble.
So... more virtual searches, both for housing and for a vehicle. Whee!
(P.S. Cord, I found a DVD release of Ponyo with English subtitles, so you're off the hook. Yay eBay!)

Date: 2009-05-01 02:05 pm (UTC)It happens all the time here too, in every mall there's at least one shop selling Disney DVDs with covers that came out of a laser printer.
