Last night, we went to juggling and had a good time passing with each other, then loaned our clubs to a pair of young boys who have been bitten by the bug hard. We came home and had a good talk, airing some fears and worries, then continued into the wee hours reminding each other exactly how much fun we can have together when we put our minds (and mouths and hands) to it. This morning, I've already treated myself to a warm tangerine scone, fresh from the oven (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] 2006in2006!), an espresso con panna, and a short Peter S. Beagle story, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] wordweaverlynn. I'll cruise a few more Craisglist rental postings, then I'm off to my Nia class.

I'm making a commitment to myself to keep doing all these things as often as I can during these next few weeks. They are going to suck, I have no doubt, but I will offset the suckage with plenty of good things, and it will not be so bad. This might seem elementary to those of you in the peanut gallery... take my word for it that they are not so obvious when you're in the center of the mess.

This is excllent. :) It's not so elementary, or at least not so much that it's not easy to overook.

Are you liking Nia? I kind of miss it. There's a fitness center just a few minutes away from the Eugene place, that offers not only plain Nia but... wait for it... Water Nia! I'm looking forward to trying it -- I'm in better control of the orgasmic reflex these days, I think/hope.

And maybe it wouldn't show so much in water ;-)

Yes, I'm loving it! I find myself really looking forward to it. I don't think I'm burning the kind of calories I did with Jazzercise, but then again, my knees are sooo much happier with Nia. And it just... feels good to move around like that.

If you do check out the water Nia class, please let us know how it works for you! I'm really curious... I did two other sites when I was in California, but didn't even think to look for the aquatic version. I bet that would be sooo good for creaky joints like ours...

It's not obvious to me. In fact, the first thing I think when there's crisis is "Everything else has to be put on hold while I take care of this crisis", and that results in my not doing basic things like feeding myself well and showering. Not good. Your way is much better.

The Beagle story was good. Thanks for the link.

Not too far from you! Here's some info:

The bummer: no child care. I was actually scheming to drop Linc with you during the morning classes... but I'd much rather you joined me there!
