When Cordell was born, we had a housemate whose personal political goals included freedom for Tibet. It's horrific that things have gotten, if anything, worse in these last two decades.

Six Canadian students have been detained for hanging a protest banner on the Great Wall. A woman who has been lobbying the Olympic Committee to consider Tibet's treatment by China has also been detained. All of these people are members of Students for a Free Tibet.
