mamagotchaLinc and I went to the Ward Parkway mall yesterday. We enjoyed some treats at Starbucks:
then headed to Target to pick up a birthday present and a wading pool. It was very quiet and subdued, but people were really nice to each other. Lots of older folks smiling at the toddler tearing around, tossing coins in the fountain, and climbing on the benches; lots of security guards and employees meeting up in small huddles, waving hands around and sharing their stories.
It was a place of peace.
