Nothing spectacular

mamagotchaJust hanging in there. My sister came and left around Easter, and my mom-in-law just left after a week-long visit. Thunderstorms have been threatening for days, and finally hit tonight... humid heavy air. Printing out pictures to send to my mom, picking out more to put into an album of my own (jeez! Digital photography is indeed both a blessing and a curse).
Finishing a pair of socks for the MIL... will post a pic before sending them. Learning a lot about sockmaking in the process!

Trains are the thing for Linker these days. Wooo-ooo! Good thing I held on to all of Cord's old Brios... I can't stand Thomas and his crowd.
Garden going in soon. Found out what this flower is, FINALLY! I described it to many folks who just stared at me... I called it an alien daisy, whose petals didn't unfurl all the way. I found some sorry specimens at the local hardware store... white, not purple. But now I know what they are, and I'm gonna get more! I LOVE these freaky little things!
I think we're headed to St. Louis once the Penn Valley semester ends. Jules and Clay both want to really explore the Holocaust Museum there, and Cord and I want to get into the science museum and the City Museum (all recycled stuff!). Plus we'll let Linc loose back in The Magic House.
And I'm getting ready for my trip to California with my sister over Mother's Day weekend... woo hoo! I absolutely cannot WAIT to go on this trip. Whole Earth Festival! Bouchon! COPIA! Wheeeee!
