We launch on Thursday. I am doubtful of making it to New Orleans and/or Florida, but we'll see what happens. i'm thinking we'll stick to Tennessee, maybe some North Carolina, and St. Louis area... mines, caves, fall color, Graceland and more are in the works.

nope, sadly. we could have gotten fairly cheap tickets, but it would have involved some 8-hour driving days and I didn't want to subject the linker to that. oh well! another trip, perhaps...

oh lord, i hope so. that's actually a fear of mine... i know KC is supposed to be a fairly liberal town in a conservative part of the nation, but i've found the intolerance and neglect of the poorer members of our society horrifying... and it's only going to get worse the further south we go.
