Every room in our house has books in it. I've spent a lot of time, energy and money collecting and hauling my personal library around the country with me. Right or wrong, I make instant judgments about people based on the books they have in their houses (and you can probably guess what I think of people who have NO books!). I am thrilled beyond words that Linc is now reading everything he can get his grubby paws on. E-readers and the Internet may have dealt publishers a fatal blow, but I'm going to hang onto my books for the rest of my life.

I am so grateful for my books!

Phew! I guess my books and I passed muster. ;) And I'm not sure you've even seen the 8+ feet of floor-to-ceiling shelves in the basement... yup, I am grateful for my books too!

I've seen photos! All I've ever been invited to the basement for was the Room o' Kittens. ;)

Hanging on to your books for the rest of your life, eh?
Today I purchased at Half Price Books an autographed to you (Mamagotcha. No?) by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee copy of "Free-Range Knitter",

not that I'm not grateful for your destash. Thanks.

And to think I'd always assumed books I'd found there were a step before being remaindered.

Wow. I had two of those, and gave away one to a friend. Obviously I gave awaythe wrong one!!! But yes, I do send some doubles or books my kids have outgrown to HPB. So glad it has found a new home with you!!
