Spent some time doing laundry today, and felt a huge wave of gratitude for these modern machines.

There were days, when I had babies in diapers, that I was running a load nearly every single day. I can't even begin to imagine what that would have been like without a washer and dryer.

Oh man. My mom was just telling me about when she & my dad went to visit family back in the old country, and me & my brother were in diapers, and yes they only had cloth diapers and no washer and no dryer and yes she had to wash them by hand and they did not have hot water. No HOT WATER. And hanging things up on the line except that it is ASS COLD up in the mountains and things never dry. She looked haunted.

It's no wonder she bought us a wipe warmer, really. Because she could. I should work on being more grateful!
