He looked great, but I think the kids whose dad made them real
transforming Transformer costumes have a lock on the grand prize. Now
off to the corn maze!

Hee! I was right... the Transformer kids did take first prize!

Also got to see three young giraffes bein' all frisky before dinnertime... as Bill said, gamboling giraffes look positively otherworldly.

Linc's costume looks great. Charlotte is going as a black cat this year, so she's wearing black pants, black shirt, black shoes, a black half-mask with little cat ears, and a black tail. How did I get off so easy this time??? Valerie is going to be a mermaid, and the tail is my afternoon project. My first attempt failed miserably...I tried to quilt some slippery fabric to look like scales, and it didn't work out. At all. Now we're going with the simple-but-foolproof method :)
