Just a quick posting for folks in the Kansas City area... if you, like us, have no local family to feast with for Turkey Day (or in our vegan friends' case, Tofurkey Day), please consider joining us for the first annual TurkeyFest Midwest!
A potluck dish of your own holiday specialty would be welcome, but is certainly not necessary.
We will be sampling not one, not five, but all ten 2005 Holiday Edition Jones Sodas! Yum... (two Turkey & Gravy, wild herb stuffing, broccoli casserole, Brussels sprouts with proscuttio, smoked salmon pate, corn on the cob, cranberry, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie!)
Board games and The Puzzle Boat puzzles will be available for idle hands. Festivities begin at 2 p.m., gobbling commences at approximately 5 p.m.
Please RSVP ASAP so we can have enough chairs!

BEWARE!!!
Date: 2005-11-10 08:09 pm (UTC)The Wild Herb stuffing is a very weak flavour. It is like mildly flavoured seltzer water. Turkey and Gravy is pretty icky, but vaguely bearable. Cranberry is fairly tasty. Pumpkin Pie... not so much. It's not as bad as the Turkey and Gravy, and nowhere NEAR the sprouts. I haven't had the (mis)fortune of trying the others yet. Good luck with them!
