My new braiding website just went live today.

It's not all that exciting, as these things go. But I need to get back into the braiding game, and a website is definitely the way any business will survive in this day and age.

I'd be very glad if any of you would be willing to give it a look-see, and maybe shoot me any comments using the contact form on the site.

Many thanks!

Lovely, lovely. My hair is so thin and ridiculously fine none of these are appropriate for someone like me... but what luscious beautiful hairstyles!

Thank you! And don't sell yourself short... I've done braids on cancer patients and folks with incredibly thin and wispy hair... there are a few tricks you can use to make hair look bigger without hurting it at all. Who knows, maybe someday we'll meet IRL and I'll get a chance to show you!

(I'm not using the comment form because I don't know if it supports HTML, and besides I already poked you with it. :P)

Overall, looks good! I like it. But since I am your daughter, and thus can't resist nitpicking...

I get saying "we" to make it sound more professional and businesslike, but the page where it says "a small sample of the thousands of braids we've created" sounds a little weird, especially since the "About the Braider" page makes it clear that it's just you.

As previously mentioned on Facebook, there's a missing digit in the phone number. On the "About the Braider" page, I think you're missing a paragraph tag after the first paragraph. Either that or you accidentally hit "enter" in the middle of it.

Also, not a nitpick, but I think you should include something like this photo in the portfolio to show that you do guys too (and also to showcase your kickass herringbone technique, which I don't see on there).

Good idea about mentioning that you braid men, but I would not know that photo is of a guy.

I submitted something through the comment form, and an additional comment is that there was no confirmation that my message was sent. Don't know if you're able to do anything about that, but I am used to seeing a confirmation on these sorts of things.

You could put up one of the photos of braided beards, just to hammer the point home. :P

Congrats on getting the site up! Next time you're in Seattle, I would pay for a Katje braid! If this is any incentive for you to come to Seattle sooner, score one for me! =)
