so i went in yesterday to get the dry socket stuff pulled out, and when they went to put more in, i said no, let's try to get along without it. there was this mouth irritation, though, that i asked about, and the tech just sort of shrugged it off.
itchy, burning, dry, scraped feeling, all over my gums, palate, tongue... not so bad in the morning, worse at night... the sockets are achey and sore but manageable. still, the mouth thing, weird, huh? so i look it up online and lo and behold, there's something called burning mouth syndrome. i think i've managed to start my own little candida farm in my mouth... yes, thrush. i was on antibiotics all last week for the surgery, which kills all sorts of good bacteria and allows this sort of thing to happen. oh joy, and it's a long weekend.
no krispy kremes for me! or sugar, white flour, yeast... so much for all the nice brown cow yogurt i just bought (all flavored and sweetened). bill's picking up some plain yogurt on the way home from the lab.
plus the hemms are acting up, my left hip is still out of whack, all my friends are still having worse problems than me (i did daycare for two of 'em last week, bless them), julia and bill are engaged in a cold war, and to top it off, my hair is having a particularly bad week.
on the other hand, bill and i got out on a date last night and saw the amazingly funny movie, "The Aristocrats." if you liked the "South Park" movie, especially for its comment on social mores, you will love this. you will never, ever look at a mime in the same way again. brilliant... it was over way too fast.
