Just finished the trip home from Madison, safe and sound. Yay podcasts and Provigil. Put 1379 miles on the rental car.

This American Life's episode titled "Return to the Scene of the Crime" (especially the Dan Savage piece about the death of his mother) was awesome.

If I can't write after being given the tools I was given at WisCon, I need to give up writing.

Fall down go boom.

I do believe it will be the subject of a series of upcoming posts.

I didn't get a chance to talk with you at all after your panel, did I? You did an amazing job of keeping things moving in a light yet focused manner... I wish all my panels had had such awesome mods.

Hope your trip home was uneventful, and next year you'll have to add a day or so to come stay with us in Chicago (and of course your ride will be taken care of!). Thanks for all the con coaching, my yommy Ann Sathers breakfast, and the newbie dinner invite. So awesome you are!

oh dear, there's yet *another* Dan Savage source for me to follow? -g- (I've been listening to his Savage Love podcasts rather intensively the last week or so.)

Um, what does that title mean?

(And yay! for you!)

Oh hey! Check out what newspaper story I already had open in another tab:

"Broadcast dues
The man behind PRI's "The Sound of Young America" finds a way to make public radio pay"

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2009/05/26/moneytales052609.DTL

(And it surely does sound interesting & worth checking out. Thank you for the pointer.)

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

He's only on TAL infrequently, so it shouldn't be too cumbersome. However, you may get hooked on TAL itself, and for that I shan't apologize because it's been a fantastic addition to my audio world.

Got my book from Steven, thank you so much for sending it! The small one is paging through it this morning, and then it shall be sent on to its new home. I only wish I could have received it directly from your own hands, though S. provided some lovely conversation as a delightful consolation prize.

-Grin- Yeah, I've been referring everyone to that Dan Savage TAL segment too. And such a different side of him from the shiny sarcastic guy I love in Savage love!
