jillcookand her family met up with us at the zoo today. Turns
out the Chicago Zoo has reciprocity with this one here, so we rejoined
(since our tickets for today alone would have been $45... another $25
and we're good for the next year).

But, but, but, the zoo in Chicago is free. At least, Lincoln Park Zoo is, and that is the one that is closest to DePaul. I like the Great Ape House myself. The penguin house is good, too. I remember one day when the temperature outside was 40 degrees colder than the simulated antarctic conditions they were keeping the penguins in.

Well, it'll probably get me free parking or some such goodie. That's cool, I don't mind supporting them a bit. I'm sure I'll at least use the KC zoo pass at least enough to offset the extra, anyway.
