Thank you for the incredibly sweet and kind anonymous card I received recently. It made me cry and I'm so very grateful to have people around me who care enough to try to bolster me when I'm floundering.

Not to sound greedy, but is there any chance I could make a request of you? I need a place to crash while I'm in California for the Maker Faire (May 30-31). It's at the San Mateo county fairgrounds, and I'd like to stay for another day either before or after (haven't made plane reservations yet, so I'm flexible). I'm housebroken and will take the entire household out for a lovely meal in exchange, in addition to any braids they would like.

You know my house is chaotic and messy and small, but we have a fold out couch and you're always welcome. (and I um, have some pants for you!)

Sadly, I doubt they would fit. I'm pushing 300lbs these days, dammit, and those pants I sent you fit me best around 225.

However, I may take you up on your offer! I'm hoping to come in a day or so early (or stay late) to get some visiting in, and may impose upon your kind hospitality then. I'll be in touch as we get closer!

And I probably should remake those slippers for you... now that I'm a slightly better knitter...
