Today, Linc and I visited one of KC's truly under-appreciated treasures,
the Kauffman Memorial Garden (on Rockhill just north of Volker). Free,
peaceful, and meticulously planted and maintained by the Powell Gardens
folks, the spring display is remarkable..

This is Linc and a spectacular flowering quince.... not easy to find,
but worth the effort!

Lots of hyacinths and daffodils are up now, with a smattering of tulips
and hundreds more set to open in the next week or so. Don't miss it!

Wow! Maybe it's just this photo, but he suddenly looks so grown-up!

Yeah, he's suddenly sprinting out of all the pants he was way too small for last year. He's also playing with language a lot, trying to use bigger words... he loves the idea of "reflection" and keeps telling me to look at our "affection," "affliction" and "refraction" in the back of a spoon.

And last night, on the climbing structure at the park, we saw a gorgeous sunset and moonrise. So the play area became "The Castle of the Moon," to which we had sailed on our boat. I love this age!
