Hangin' in there

Spent a goodly chunk of the weekend cleaning the old house. There's one, maybe two more loads of stuff to move... mostly plants and pots and cleaning supplies. But it's pretty much ready to hand over back to the owners. Whew.

We're gonna try another CSA box membership. Well, maybe this isn't a CSA directly, but after our all-cabbage-for-six-weeks experience a few years back, I was hesitant to try again here. This place seems to gather up produce from several farmers and then distribute... so there's still a middle-man of sorts, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Clapotis is on the last skein, about 2 repeats into decrease section. This thing has been dragging on forever... I'm going to be very glad to get it off the needles. Next project... something small!

Clark is starting up a CSA box program this summer, although I'm picky enough about vegetables that I'm hesitant to plop down the $200+ it costs.

I'm happy with door to door so far. Tonight for dinner I roasted the beet roots and we had them with the greens as a salad, some bleu cheese, walnuts and a vinaigrette I made out of the oranges and shallot...we're eating lots of produce just on the medium box. I hope you like it too.

We're gonna start with the bitty box, subbing out pears because Bill can't eat 'em. We'll see how it goes!
