Whoa, there's another Miyazaki movie coming out... I though he was retired! Looks like the US version hits late summer... but maybe I can get my Connection in Japan to deliver sooner than that. Hooray! We can't have too much Miyazaki!

Financing didn't work out in our favor. Oh well. (To answer some concerns in the previous comments: the car would have had a warranty of one to five years, and the ship goes back and forth from the islands anyway, so I doubt adding another piece of freight would have significantly altered the carbon footprint.)

Turns out we're just not ready for a drive up to Chicago this weekend... Bill's still wiped from his trip to Spokane, the weather's gonna stink, and I think part of my back problems are that I just don't fit into the car we have, and sitting in it for that long of a drive would be asking for trouble.

So... more virtual searches, both for housing and for a vehicle. Whee!

Haircut

It occurred to me just now that I didn't post a pic of my new hair: cut
and touch-up color with a couple reddish highlights. I've decided to
embrace the curls, and try to work with them for a while instead of
brushing them out. I might get it a bit more layered to get the curls
happening higher up, too... we'll see. Anyway, since I've already
learned how to tame Linc's curls, we'll see if the same treatment can
bring out my own.
