It totally looked like something out of Tron, that's why I had to shoot it! Certainly not what you'd see in KC, that's for sure (although I must say that the KC airport is an awesome place... probably the best airport I've found in my myriad travels).

Say hey to the Bay for me. Any chance of swinging through the Santa Cruz Mts and saying hey to Lou? His lady wife is just newly with child (3 weeks?) and they are all giddy-o!

Oh my! Congrats, Lou & lady! I will be on the coast, but time will be short... this is a whirlwind tour. I'll be here in SF for tonight, then Berkeley tomorrow, then Davis (Whole Earth Festival!) Saturday and Sunday AM, then Petaluma to see my own mom that night, out to the coast on Monday and home on Wednesday.

This is a trip mostly to help the midwives raise money (braiding hair; we've been doing it for something like 15 years!)... while the money I raise is roughly equal to what I'm spending to be here and therefore it would be more efficient just to send the check to them directly, coming to braid is much more fun! Plus, I get to see a bunch of the babies I got to greet, and friends, and two of my kiddos... plus a bunch of old and new LJ friends... CA arts and food and weather and ocean... so far, I'm having a blast!
