A little update

Life goes on. Man, we have a lot of crap in this house. I'm doing a house-cooling party tomorrow; any locals wanna come by 11-2 Sunday, you can poke through the give-away pile before it goes on Craigslist.

I'm still feeling bad about the aborted rental situation; several people have hurt feelings. I want to work on making things right for the rest of the folks involved.

Tomorrow night, we meet with the housesittees. Fingers crossed!

Hey - I stumbled across your site; not sure how. Remember me (us) -Julia, Kelsey, Joseph Singer - we lived up the street from you on Loyola, during the time that Eve also lived there. I read your post about abusive relationships and not realizing that it isn't so easy for a woman to leave...I remember that time. Anyway, we live in beautiful Seattle (in the city, right by UW); and, after a (final) year of hell last year when the kids' dad kidnapped them - he is finally out of our lives! (12 years of continuing his abuse through the CA court system - despite we lived in Seattle for 11 years, and he even lived here for a year.) uuggh I now have a wonderful partner who lives nearby and has really taken on the paternal role. My kids love him, and despite he is an attorney (: - they have realized the value of hard work and responsibility. Unfortunately, not traits of their own father.

Anyway, just wanted to say "hi." I fondly remember your kids when they were smaller, and I have a special memory of taking Clayton to UCD when I was doing the sign language study with my son. I also have a fond memory of watching Cord play soccer and listening to Julia read to my daughter. (: Your youngest is a beautiful boy who looks like a sweetheart.

My kids are doing well - I home schooled them for many years and now they attend "alternative" public schools in Seattle. They asked to go to regular school, and they seem to enjoy what they want, and leave the rest.
