A crumby contest

People Magazine's best wedding cake from each state.
I love it that California and North Dakota seem to represent gay couples... especially after those ND Neanderthals went to such efforts to ban same-sex marriage.
I particularly like the specimens posted from Alaska (not so much the colors, but the style), and Michigan (maybe the couple live in the bookstore heaven of Ann Arbor?),
Hmmm. Sometimes you get what you pay for (you gotta wonder: did the wedding dress have seashells over her bosoms?) On the other hand, I think the Idaho folks got a deal... yum!
What's this new thing, topping the cake with the initials of the blissful couple? If we don't know who's getting married, we probably don't belong at the festivities anyway...
A few of the cakes, like Georgia and West Virginia, were topped or decorated with very green, leafy vegetation. Have your cake and salad, too!
Still, green seems a bit more appetizing than, say, ultra-neon hot pink (Iowa)... the design is gorgeous, but the color... owww.
Am I missing something with the New York entry? Maybe these two bakeries forgot to turn in their entry forms.
Can anyone look at the Wisconsin entry and NOT think about That Movie?
