We all carved jack-o-lanterns this year... well, Linc managed the carving on his. These pics were taken after the squirrels had nibbled on them a bit. See if you can guess who did which pumpkin (hint: Linc's is "confused," inspired by the cute book from Christina, "How Are You Peeling?")





Clay was an artist, and his pal Christian was a goth. Christian's mom did his makeup, and I was nervous about letting him go roaming out at night, he was too pretty! But Clay looked out for him. I couldn't believe I was letting them go out dressed in black, but they managed to survive and even kindly shared some of their loot with Lincoln.



Finally: it's time to sell this backpack. I put it up on eBay, if anyone's interested. It's in perfect shape. I have the original tags and instructions, even the registration card! For you people, price is negotiable!

Pumpkins: Clay did the evil-looking clownish one, I did the arrows, Linc's is going "oooh!" and Bill did the little companion cube thingie from Portal. (Check out the trailer... this looks like a FPS I can endorse!)

Linc's doing pretty well with the potty. Bill had a banner science day yesterday, and we're celebrating tonight with chicken pot pie (last night was gymnastics). I think Clay grew another inch in the last week. I'm almost done with the first knitted Christmas present. That's about it for now!

OMG Linc is sooooo cute!

My afterschool kids (2nd grade) have been reading How Are You Peeling to me. Today when we took a look at their neighbors' carved pumpkins, we had an entertaining discussion about what the pumpkins looked like they were feeling.

Linc is still spotting pumpkins here and there, though they are starting to look a little worse for wear now. He's a little bummed that all the Halloween stuff is being put away. Little does he know, Christmas is right around the corner!

Aren't those books fun? I want to get more of them. This one cracks me up every time I read it.
