It feels like we're rolling down a hill and there's no stopping; all we can do is kind of steer a little and maybe avoid the biggest trees and boulders.

We're sending off 459 CDs to iPodMeister tomorrow. That is a lot of CDs.

I'm bartering part of the stove to a gal who does organizing to help me pack and get rid of the huge pile of give-away stuff growing in the garage.

I'm hiring another homeschool mom to come help clean the house after the truck leaves on Monday. [livejournal.com profile] jillcook has offered to let Clay and me stay at her home Monday night so we can get a good night's sleep before driving to Chicago with the animals.

Got to chat with Cordell before he got on his plane headed to California; I'm packing up a box with goodies to send to him. I also sent a 50lb box off to Julia this morning.

Got the USPS change-of-address forms dealt with while another friend watched her kids and Linc in his little pool out front yesterday.

The a/c is happier now that we're in the 80s instead of the high 90s, so I was able to really hammer on packing up the books and clothes that were in the upstairs rooms. I also got a bunch of the games and puzzles packed up.

I found a bike shop willing to pick up and deliver the bikes tomorrow (my rear wheel is torqued, and both bikes need a tune-up... I can't transport them in the sedan). In return, we'll get Linc's new trail-a-bike from them, and then we'll be good to start exploring our neighborhood by bike right when we get to Chicago.

Also tomorrow: my desk, the rest of our clothes, and maybe part of the kitchen. Another friend will show up to get the patio set, three boxes of magazines, and four sets of shelves.

Clay moved his drums to his friend's house yesterday, which opened up a LOT of room in the basement. He might be doing a performance with his band this weekend; stay tuned!
