Just an observation... I though it was clear that Muntz had KILLED off all of the "visitors" that he had accused of coming to steal what was rightfully his.... he had their caps and goggles as trophies and was knocking off the "heads" as he was approaching Carl. He was also repeatedly trying to kill them...
