I'm alive and well and inspired and excited and exhausted. This is a fan
con, make no mistake, but there is enough discussions of the craft of
writing to keep me scribbling for weeks or even years.

One of the best panels so far, Kick-Ass Moms, gave me a TON of ideas and
fresh angles to restart a book I've already started. I'm not so sure
about my YA fiction prospects, but I think there's still potential.

I've met and conversed with many virtual friends, and they have been,
without exception, even more delightful in person.

I've also connected with a number of Chicago folks, which has been a lot
of fun (and encouraging).

Braids and beadwork and knitting are also on the menu. One day left,
then the long haul to KC on Monday.

It's been a thrill to remember why I love to write. I wish I could
bottle this feeling.
