Oh, yeah, this part DID suck
Mar. 26th, 2008 07:46 pmSo while I've been feeling better, my weight loss has stalled... even while doing low-carb. So I went back and checked... ahhh. Forgot about the whole Induction thang. So I've printed out the list of 16 things I CAN eat, boiled a dozen eggs, and am forcing all noncompliant foods down Bill's throat.
Got the CPAP delivered and set up. The mask makes me feel only slightly daintier than Darth Vader, but we'll see if it does what it's supposed to do. I'm not in this for the looks, darlings.
Friend and doula client might be in early labor. She's been all weepy and emotional and frustrated... sounding very close to me, but not quite into the "real" thing yet. She's been plagued with reflux, so I brought her some frozen custard (and a bit of dark chocolate for medicinal purposes, of course). Tonight might be a good night to be born...
Mothering Magazine has an editorial position open, but they only want someone willing to live in NM fulltime. It's only $40K, though. Not worth derailing Bill's teaching career, but still fun to dream about.
I bought a copy of Anne Frye's "Holistic Midwifery," Vol. I, off eBay for a song. Maybe I'll be a midwife when I grow up?
Meanwhile... I've got a book to write, and another to edit and lay out. I'd like to get Ondine up to at least a few solid chapters and maybe a short story in time for WisCon (still need to find a place to stay). The other is a second volume in a homeschooling series (not written or compiled by me, just copy-edited). Better get busy. Later, chickies!
