This is the first time since May that all four of my kids have been
together, with me.

We've been having a great time despite Northern California's worst
windstorm in years (the descent of our plane was pretty rough... I spoke
with the pilot afterwards, and he said it was definitely in his top ten
worst wind flights.

Our luggage sat out in the dumping rain for a good 40 minutes... while
my pillow and clothes got soaked, the camera and laptop went thankfully
unscathed. But even soggy and battered, Sonoma County has been a blessed
balm to my homesick soul.

Seeing Julia has been particularly fabulous; we've gone "shopping"
twice, but it's more been an excuse to hang out. Linc's been a trouper,
though my parents' tolerance for toddler energy has understandably
gotten lower over the years.

I also managed a quick visit with Jesse, and a slightly longer one with
Stacey, two of my best friends from high school and the only two,
besides Julia P., that I'm in touch with, 25 years later.

Tomorrow, we load up our rented 07 Sienna (awesome van!) and head south
towards Halflab. Just in time for the next storm, whee! I can't wait to
see what Shasta and Snoqualmie throw at us.
