Dead things, updated
Nov. 4th, 2007 11:14 pmVan: It was the ignition. $311, all better now. Ow, but yay!
Stink: It seems Dennycat was playing with a wounded mouse and it got away from her only to die under the couch. We looked there the other night, so I don't know how the heck we missed it, but tonight we moved the couch again for something else and WHOOOF Bill found it. Much scrubbing and chemicals later, the living room smells springy and fresh again. Deep breath, and yay!
Bonus things-that-are-gonna-be-dead-soon: My poor confused tomato plants sprouted a ton of new fruit in the last few unseasonably warm weeks. We're due for a hard frost later this week... I'm going to leave them on the vine until the last possible second, then collect the largest ones and see if I can ripen any indoors. Maybe I'll make a batch of fried green tomatoes, yay!
