it looks ugly out there. i went to get julia (she was at school, right in the path of the cloud... but it seems to be very high, we're hoping we're not getting too much of it).
i'm filling pots of water in case water pressure goes (my friend's house has NO water). bill's lab is closer but has great filtration.
i'm ready to pack the kids and bolt. maybe i'm just being paranoid. but this stuff looks BAD.
oh jeez. this is really scary!
ETA: sounds like it's not really nasty stuff... and the cloud is passing us by to the west by a good couple of miles. we have decided to stay put, stay indoors, and hope that it's just ash that's gonna be raining down onto south-east KS for the next couple of days.
