quiet house

mamagotchaok, megan very nicely explained to me about LJ cuts. let's see if i can figure out how it
clayton and julia come back from california the day after tomorrow (friday). man, it's sooo quiet around here without the other kids! and i can't get squat done... i think the baby is either in a growth spurt or teething, because all he wants to do is nurse and be held. which is fine, and i do it, but it means it took three days to do the laundry, and our meals are pretty much noodles and salad. and nothing else gets done. so i'm going to be very, very happy to have my helper kids back soon!
lincoln is sitting up better and better every day, and getting more control of his hands. he's playing with my face while he nurses, which is alternately adorable and irritating. he's "talking" more, doing more back-and-forth noises. he's fascinated with the dog and cats, who are in turn interested in him, too.
i'm gonna sneak off to the tub while linc and bill are having some guy-time. but let me leave you with a couple of oddities i've tripped over recently. make sure you aren't drinking anything when you take a look at these santa photos, and for those of you with a spiritual sweet tooth, go check out dieties in chocolate.
