I had to set my flickr knitting photo settings to "public" to upload to Ravelry, but forgot to reset to "private" afterwards, so I'm afraid some folks might have seen their knitted gifts already. I apologize if I've ruined anyone's surprise with my addlepation.

Here, maybe

1) DRINKING BUDDY OF THE YEAR
I don't really drink... but when I do wish to explore an altered state, [livejournal.com profile] 2006in2006 is definitely my partner of choice.

2) LIFETIME SERVICE AWARD (longest friend) -
That's gotta be Jean Harrison, who was in Brownies with me (briefly... I didn't last long) way back when I lived in Pacifica. We reconnected during a trip to CA a few years back, and have stayed in touch and visited together each time I'm back there since.

3) NEWCOMER AWARD - COOLEST NEWEST FRIEND?
I haven't met her yet, but I suspect that when [livejournal.com profile] cheesepuppet and I finally get into the same room, somebody will have to put us out because we are gonna be on FIRE, baby!

4a) HIGH POINT OF THE YEAR?
Visiting California with my sister [livejournal.com profile] 1firefly for Mother's Day, roadtripping to St. Louis with all four kids in May, driving to Ann Arbor with [livejournal.com profile] jedusor in July, going to Denver by my own bad self for three days in October. No trips with my sweetie, though... gotta fix that next year!

4b) LOW POINT OF THE YEAR?
Having to accept that 1) I was going to spend at least one additional year in KC, and 2) that we'll very likely have to spend several years in an additional midwestern town before we can expect a reasonable chance of moving back to the West coast. Even just typing that brings tears to my eyes... I really don't know how I'm going to cope, but we'll figure it out somehow.

5) BEST HOLIDAY?
I think this year, it was my birthday... [livejournal.com profile] jedusor put together a very successful surprise party.

6) YOUR SONG(s) FOR 2007?
I think Jonathan Coulton's "Code Monkey" got the most earworm time, but I really loved seeing Girlyman this year; "Amaze Me" hits hard every time I listen to it.

7) MOVIE FOR 2007?
I only saw a few... "Ratatouille," "Waitress" and "Lars and the Real Girl" were the most memorable.

10) WHO DID YOU SPEND VALENTINES WITH?
My family.

11) BEST RELATIONSHIP?
It's gotta be my marriage; that's the only reason I'm still in KC.

12) WHAT WERE YOU FOR HALLOWEEN
A distributor of fine Mars products.

13) BAR OF THE YEAR?
The only mixed drinks I can remember having outside the house were at Le Fou Frog, so that's gonna hafta be it.

14) BOOK OF THE YEAR?
Argh. I'm hardly reading anything these days. The only one that comes to mind is Hugh Laurie's "The Gun Seller."

15) BEST DECISION MADE THIS YEAR?
Deciding not to drive to St. Louis just before an ice storm, I suppose.

16) WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR?
Start juggling, reading, writing, braiding and biking again. Get out of this town as many times as I can afford, starting with a trip to CA in January. I'm scheduled for a week, but it's tempting to stretch it longer... there are about a milion people I want to see out there.

17) MOST STUPID IDEA WHEN DRUNK
None come to mind.

18) TV SHOW OF THE YEAR?
We're a year behind, because we watch via Netflix. The family favorite by a mile: "House, MD"

19) MOST LOYAL FRIEND?
[livejournal.com profile] cosm3, because she still hangs out with me even though I constantly rag on her hometown.

20) BIGGEST CHANGE OF THE YEAR?
Having my two oldest kids move back to CA.

21) BIGGEST douchebag OF THE YEAR AWARD?
Bush.

22) NEW YEAR RESOLUTION?
See #16, Plans for the New Year.
