Like abortion, birth control, and other reproductive medical decisions, birthing does need to be a decision between her and her care provider. How to allow her to objectively research and choose a care provider whose ideals represent her own, and how to get the religious fanatics and lawyers and insurance agents OUT of that exam room, are the questions I need to pose.
I don't believe actual informed consent happens under the current conditions.
