Were you at Tosi's booth at the Whole Earth Festival braiding hair today? I was there and did a double take! I wasn't sure if you'd know who I was, though, and you guys were busy, so I didn't say hello. (I found your journal through Mothering a long time ago...) Tosi was our midwife and one of our favorite people in the whole world. :)

Yes, I braided quite a while that day... had a blue-green batiked dress, shoulder-length hair, gabbing a mile a minute. I stayed out at Tosi's that night... she's definitely someone who has been a huge influence in my life, and also very kind to me, for almost 20 years now.

Next time, don't be shy! I should be out there next year, same time, same channel!

I live in Sac, actually. We have a lot of homeschooling friends in Davis though. (Davis resident by heart, Sac by wallet!) My 9 year old wants Tosi to be her midwife someday...

I love reading about your older kids, my oldest is 13 and it's pretty cool to see how well AP and child led learning work. :)
