It's indisputable. Chicago LOVES me!

Yaaaay! I'm sure Chicago will be a better fit for you guys than Kansas City. I know there's a pretty bustling juggling community out there, and the NPL Guide lists 18 members in Illinois, so I bet it'll be a lot easier to tap into the geek/weirdo population. :)

Chicago is a Big City, and has been for a long time. It's got History. Did you know it used to rival NYC for importance?

Hey Katje, have you tried the local thrift stores yet? (I'm thinking sweaters for reclaiming yarn, because you have faaaar too much time on your hands, I know!)

I read the wikipedia entry on Chicago when Bill was offered the job, so yes, I did learn a lot about Chicago's relative importance vis-a-vis trade, transportation, finance and other things.

The one thrift store I found (a couple doors down from the yarn shop) looked promising, but I didn't go in on this trip. Gotta pace myself!

Yay, yarn! Congrats on the house. Hope Chicago works for you!
