Salvaged tranny and labor (if we could find one, which so far has proven difficult): $3,100

Resale value (if it were in great shape): $1,500 to $3,000

Wow. I was just thinking of you! I recently finished the Clapotis, and need another knitting project to keep me from unraveling myself, and I think it's (FINALLY) gonna be your handbag! Sorry to keep you hanging so long (yeesh... over a year!) but I hope it'll be worth it.

And thanks for the sympathy. Yeah, we'll be okay being a one-car family again, but... it's gonna suck.
