MMR is first offered at 12 mos and is the one that is falsely blamed for causing autism. Though I've heard the argument before and gave it credence myself. Maybe they are thinking that it's the second dose that does it?

I can imagine as a parent with a child who developed autism being absolutely FURIOUS (and despairing and hurt and a number of other intense emotions that come with grieving) and wanting to find ANYTHING possible to blame for the loss of the child they knew to this awful condition.
