Nope. He's totally getting the mechanics of the game, although the stepfile for Tsugaru has encouraged a strategy of simultaneously jumping on the up/dpwn or right/left pairs of arrows simultaneously. He nails all the freeze-arrows now, too.

This is our third DDR pad, and it's ripping, too. I predict that a metal-plate version is in our near future...
