Interesting stuff

I started digging through links after a comment by [livejournal.com profile] essaying on my last post, and found some evidence that a low-carb diet can reduce inflammation. I /think/ I'm sleeping a little better since restarting Atkins, (she says she KNOWS she is), and I wonder if this is why.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about.

Cravings are down, too, and I've definitely been less sleepy during the day on days I'm not doing Provigil (I'm still going to take it if I'm driving or watching Linc alone... I can't risk nodding off).

I do know that there's a lot about mind-body connections that we don't understand yet. Some estimates say that up to 90% of healing is based upon the patient believing in the power of whatever therapy is being used.

I've been doing some hypno stuff for a few weeks. Perhaps anticipating getting better is helping me get better? Gotta keep working on that...

Not that I'm counting on anyone else to do my healing for me.

Thanks for all the wonderful positive comments on my last post... it's very soothing and way less scary to have your support behind me on this exploration.
